Tribal Coffee

Merand Tribal Kaffe was created as a tribute to the Colombian tribes that are still present today. They are living on natural reserves, and are self efficient. They are practicing agroecologically food production, in perfect symbiosis with the flora and fauna of the colombian rainforest. Their knowledge has origin centuries ago, passed by their Mammoes and ancestors.

We support and work directly with the Arhuacos, Kankuamos and Koguis in Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, and the Paez in the Tolima region. Santa Marta has the highest coastal mountain range in the world, located by the caribbean sea, and Tolima is surrounded by two volcanoes and glaciers. This gives the coffee plant a special soil and climate, giving the coffee complexity in aromas and flavours and the natural scents that the Colombian coffee is known for.
